Notifications
Notifications are sent via two channels: a shared Matrix channel and email.
Matrix
The Matrix channel stays active for all monitors. Every new monitor must have the Matrix notification enabled.
Goal: each recipient group only receives alerts for the services it is responsible for.
Concept:
- For each recipient group, a dedicated email notification target is created in Uptime Kuma.
- All email notification targets use the same sender account
no-reply@status.scout.chon Mailomat (smtp.mailomat.cloud, Port: 587). Credentials for this account are stored in Vaultwarden. - The notification targets differ only in their recipients (To / CC / BCC).
- A monitor is assigned to the email notification target(s) of the recipient group(s) responsible for it, in addition to the Matrix channel.
